EHV Innovation Café is officially opened!

With a packed program, we officially opened the Eindhoven Innovation Café yesterday. We look back at a great first edition, thanks to all those that contributed and attended!
At this first Thursday gathering visitors from all backgrounds, from students, CEOs, internationals and locals explored the program and interacted with each other.
While those attending had plenty of opportunity to get to know one another in an informal café, there was also much interest in the break-out sessions, with a workshop ‘How to connect’ by Brancandies’ Cristian Boscheri and an open discussion about Eindhoven Nightlife with Siem Nozza, TU/e students presented the future of food with prototypes, and our partner Thibaut Decré (High Tech XL) and Annemoon Geurts (Creative director Kazerne) opened the event with a speech on how we hit the ground running, make it happen within a short period of preparation time, and learn as we go.

The talk Jan Timmer (ex CEO of Philips) gave was very well received with Timmer giving valuable encouragement for innovation in the Brainport area: “Never think you are invincible and fall asleep at the wheel. And don’t just say we are Brainport, prove it! I hope this initiative grows out to be more than just ‘gezellig’, but challenges you visitors to really act and start new ventures.”

The first step in connecting people and improving the networking infrastructure of our innovation ecosystem has been taken, now let’s continue to give to grow!
