Today, a designer is not the one who should say that only one solution is the right one. Today the designer is the one who can inspire us and to look at problems from all angles and offer solutions. He/She is someone who can create a concept and is the connecting factor in it. To connect people to concepts and realizing them, is what I stand for. This is the position Bram de Vos takes as a designer. He designs new ways of seeing, so creates new proposals on how we can guide the future of our environment in healthy directions.

You might have seen Bram’s project already as part of the Impromptu exhibition at Kazerne. With increasing urbanisation, finding a way for cities to feed themselves is a big win, easing pressure on the global food chain. So could a city like Amsterdam become agriculturally self-sufficient in the future?
