Studio Birthplace dedicates itself to tell the pressing stories of our time, to create awareness and inspire change. Animals, humans and nature are struggling to survive all over the world as we experience a critical climate emergency, massive inequity and a sixth mass extinction. The challenges we face are overwhelming and complicated, but we must face them. As artists and as humans, Studio Birthplace believes that shining a light on these topics is our responsibility. Together we will tell the stories of those who can’t tell their own and work towards a sustainable future for this planet we call home, our Birthplace. Sil van der Woerd, founder of the studio, talked about the project.
