The future of Social label lies in ‘being’, and in surrounding ourselves with design with meaning. With this positive activism, initiators Petra Janssen (Studio Boot) and Simone Kramer (C-mone) are forging a growing inclusive movement with a socially sustainable collection and program for another view on labour, learning and participation.

The Social Label Foundation aims to be more than making appealing products for the public. Their designs creates socio economic opportunities for disadvantaged persons in the ‘working world’. It stands for establishing a platform for quality so makers’ talents can be put on display. To make people with a distance to the labour market proud of who they are and what they make. The products help tell the stories of these workers and get the audience involved. Social Label is creating an appealing (work) environment to create new opportunities.
